Silversmiths, jet artisans, ivory carvers, painters, sculptors, embroiderers, gilders, glassmakers are some of the trades that create more refined and exclusive products and are referred to as Luxury Craftsmen..
The main client of these artisans was the church. Their creations, symbols of wealth, power and ostentation, were also in great demand among the nobility, the bourgeoisie and the government. However, their workshops also produced popular items, such as filigree jewellery and jet amulets in common use among the population.
